Happy Weekend babes! Hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving. I was finally able to relax this weekend which means kicking it at the gym and non-stop shopping! – can’t complain about that! Now that the holidays are slowly creeping up, there’s going to be so many yummy food and drinks to indulge on! As some of you may know, I love a good glass of wine and need caffeine on long work days. Even though sweets, wine, and coffee are so addicting, it’s not always best on your teeth.
When Smile Brilliant reached out to me about collaborating together, I was SO interested in trying it out because I’ve never used whitening products before so I took the opportunity to try out the kit for a review and see the change myself. Especially with the holidays around the corner, with lots of joyful moments and photo taking, you want to make sure you have a pearly white smile!
ABOUT SMILE BRILLIANT
Smile Brilliant has a team of experienced dental professionals who have developed a professional teeth whitening system using custom-fitted trays. Each package is hand-crafted by a dental lab technician and the price range for these packages are anywhere from $129-179 depending whether your teeth sensitivity level. Each kit comes with an impression tray, which you can make your own at home and then send it back to lab to receive your teeth trays. The kit also comes with teeth whitening gels and desensitizing gel.
HOW IT WORKS
When you receive your at home teeth whitening kit in the mail, you also receive catalyst paste and baste paste to create the impression trays for your teeth. A third one is provided for you just in case if you messed up the one of the impressions. The instruction guide shows you how to create the putty and arrange in your mouth. Once completed, you let the molds dry and put them back in the package to mail out. Smile Brilliant did a great job explaining all of these steps.
Once you receive your trays, you can start the process! It’s pretty simple, the guide explains everything for you. First rinse your mouth with no toothpaste, then add the teeth whitening gel on the trays and pop them on your teeth for about 45 minutes to 3 hours max. After time is up, take off the trays, rinse them off with cold water and brush your teeth with toothpaste this time. Afterwards, add the desensitizing gel on the trays and pop them on your teeth for about 15-20 minutes. When time is up, just rinse your mouth and clean the trays and you can head to bed. It is recommended that the teeth whitening be done right before bed to ensure that no new stains are being introduced to the teeth and that the teeth have time to rehydrate while you sleep.
Ps. It’s normal for your gums to be sensitive when going through this process. You can add vaseline or coconut oil to soothe your gums.
DOES IT WORK? EXPERIENCE?
Most times I used the trays every other day to see great results, but there were also times where I was so busy that I used it after 4-5 days. While leaving the trays in my teeth, I spent my time on Instagram and watching my shows to kill time. I still have seen a great change in my results, my mom has noticed my teeth getting even whiter so I’m happy that I was able to review the teeth whitening kit and plus it’s such a easy process to use at home.
