To The New Year! Setting Goals for 2018

Happy New Year All,

I’m mind blown how fast this year flew by.  2017 was an overall good year for me, but I know 2018 will yet be a better year. Each year I tell myself that I’m going to work on my goals but at a certain point they slowly fade away. This is the year that I’m not going to procrastinate and will actually set a plan for myself. I wanted to share my resolutions and goals with you for the new year in hopes to inspire you all and help achieve some of your goals.

HEALTH

Fitness has always been a part of my lifestyle. During the holidays, I worked out less and less and with all the holiday parties that lined up, I couldn’t help but stuff myself with so much food! It’s literally so hard during the holidays to motivate yourself when all you rather do is eat and drink every second.  My goal for this year is to stay on track by eating healthier and working out 4-5 days a week. Staying in track meaning going grocery shopping every 2 weeks or so and buying protein, veggies, fruits, yogurts, almond milk to prep my food beforehand. I’ve definitely gained some pounds during the holidays so I’m ready for a fresh start and eat clean.

DRINKING MORE WATER

They say that you are generally supposed to drink 8 glasses of water per day to remove toxins from your body and keep hydrated. I work at an office job, but for me it’s such a  chore drinking water every second. Does anyone else feel the same way? I’ve realized that I tend to drink a lot more water when I have fruits or lemon in it and plus it has such a refreshing taste to it.

EDUCATION

It’s been way too long since the last time I picked up a book from the library. Every time I’d go to the library, I would pick up a book and come home and read a few chapters and then never look at the book again. Does anyone recommend any good books to read? Non-fiction or fiction, please comment below 🙂

NEWS/AWARENESS

There’s so much going on around us that sometimes we miss what’s going on around the world. I’m always so busy running around with work, blogging, gym, etc, that I miss the latest news or what’s happening around me. I’ve heard of this website/app called SKIMM, that allows you to read a short summary of the latest news in less than 10 minutes. I’ve decided to sign up with my work email so every time when I get into work, I can check my email, read SKIMM news and then get on with my day!

FRIENDS/RELATIONSHIP

When you get older, you realize who your true friends are and you push away those who have not made an effort to be a part of your life. I’m thankful for those who have been there through good and bad times, true friends you can always count on. End of last year beginning of this year I’ve got a new man and he’s been a big part of my life. We’ve met on Bumble, he’s super genuine, sweet, funny, outgoing, family oriented, everything that I’d want in a man. I’ll have to do another blog post of full details of how we met and about our first few dates. But I’m thankful that I’ve met him and although he’s moved back to RI, we’ve agreed to see each other every other 2-3 weeks. I’m so excited to see what the new year brings us and make SO many memories with him.

** LASTLY, I want to share more content with you all and get in the habit of blogging more. What kind of posts are you interested in seeing? Are there particular photos you like more when I post than some others? Please let me know, I’d love to hear any kind of feedback, it will definitely help me as well.

What are your goals and new year resolutions for 2018? Share them below!
