Hi Babes!
Last weekend was a busy one, as I traveled to RI to join in on wedding festivities as it was my boyfriend’s sisters wedding. In this post I am going to go into further detail about the rehearsal dinner that I attended on Friday night and go over outfits to wear if you are a guest attending.
On Friday night, my boyfriends family and I drove over to Massachusetts as the rehearsal took place in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Both families attended and went over the rehearsal and who was walking with who. Since I was not in the wedding party, I just sat and watched everybody else, it took about an hour or so for the priest to go over everything to make sure everyone was following.
Afterwards, we all went to an Italian Restaurant close by to the church for the rehearsal dinner. The place was called, Tutto Bene. The food was really good and the walls were too pretty not to take a photo of. Depending on where exactly your hosting the rehearsal dinner, it depends on what kind of attire to wear. I ended up dressing up a bit into a cute LBD from Calvin Klein and purchased at Marshalls. My red shoes are from Steve Madden, which gave my outfit a little pop. A simple black dress is the perfect look for any kind of occassion, I’d say it’s key to keep one in your closet. My boyfriend ended up wearing his red loafers as well so we were matching.
Some of the other girls who were in the wedding party, wore casual floral dresses which is fine as well. If your attending a rehearsal dinner and if it’s somewhere more casual, then you should be ok wearing pants or a casual dress. Sometimes the family will let you know beforehand about the attire, but for the most part, you can’t go wrong with a casual LBD and heels.
What have you worn to previous rehearsal dinners? Where were they taken place?
XOXO
