LEATHER & SUEDE COMBO FOR FALL + LIFE UPDATE

Happy November 1st All!

I mean, how is it the 1st already!? Time is surely flying by, and part of me is stressing out knowing that the holidays are just around the corner which means I got to prepare my blog for some fun holiday content. How was everyone’s Halloween? I spent the night bringing my little pumpkins trick or treating and nibbling on a few pieces myself hehe. So many things have happened within the past month that I want to share with ya’ll some updates.

Ok, so Mid-October I got laid off from my job. Let me take a step back. The company I was working for was a data analytics solution company and if you know me, I hate working with numbers but love being creative; thankfully my blog allows me to do that. While I was working at that company, I was always distracted being on my phone always checking my Instagram likes or trying to come up with blog post ideas to write about. I never really enjoyed what I was doing nor did I think the work would help me succeed in future jobs. A big part of me was relieved when I got laid-off; now I’m now able to focus on my blog while taking the time to find something full-time that I actually enjoy doing. Hopefully, one day I’m able to do my blog full-time but until then I need a job that will help me pay the bills.

What I learned is that you don’t need to follow the norm with what everyone else is doing. You only have one life and you have to do what makes you happy. At the end of the day if you hate your job, if your unclear with your relationship, if you dislike the city you’re in, then do something about it. Yes, I don’t have a job right now, but I am so much happier than when I was working at the data analytics company. To be honest with you all, now that I have this free time, I’ve been spending most of my time attending blogger events, networking, and really taking the time to grow my blog. At the end of the day, don’t worry about where you are in life because everyone has different goals and if you work hard for it, everything will come into place.

Thank you all for reading and hope I inspired some of you who are in the same boat as me. The outfit that I’m wearing in this post is a perfect combo to wear this Fall season. I loved pairing these suede pants with this motto black leather jacket. I wore this entire set at the Brooklyn Bridge for a photo-shoot, it’s so classy, sophisticated and fierce. Believe it or not, I woke up at 5am that day and took a train into the city to meet my blogger friends for the shoot, now that’s a boss babe right there!!
