OVERNIGHT STAY AT THE INN AT STONINGTON

Happy Sunday Babes! Are you all pumped for the holidays? If you noticed on my blog, I’ve put a ton of holiday guides up to help you shop this holiday season. Last week, I took a week off from work to catch up on things and enjoy my time off. I went up to Stonington, CT for the night for the overall experience and it was the most relaxing stay.

FIRST STOP:

Thursday afternoon, I headed up to Stonington and the first stop was Stonington Vineyards. You know If I’m driving all the way up there, I’m going to explore the winery lol! There were a bunch of other vineyards close by, but this was the only one we had time to go to.

A couple of the other vineyards were:
Saltwater Farm Vineyard
Jonathon Edwards Winery

Since the weather was a little gloomy, we were the the only ones there but it was nice since it seemed like we had our own private tasting.

We tasted 6 wines from their tasting menu and ended up purchasing one of their favorites, The Seaport White bottle to take back to the INN.

SECOND STOP:

After the wine tasting, we went to check into the INN At Stonington which was only about a 15 drive away from the vineyard.

The inn was the most coziest stay. I loved that when we got into our room – there were two mini bottles waiting for us, there was an oversized separate bath tub, a gas fireplace and a private balcony overlooking the Stonington Harbor. It was simply the perfect overnight stay.

There are about 19 different rooms and each one offers something different. I stayed in Room 5 and enjoyed this seaside style room.

THIRD STOP:

The INN was close to many walkable restaurants. The area was very quiet when we went, but we heard that Noah’s restaurant was really good that we ended up having dinner there.

The pricing was very reasonable and I must say they literally have the best meatloaf ever…I’m not even kidding lol! I would drive back just for the meatloaf. It had this delicious barbecue flavored sauce and came with mash potatoes and with a glass of wine of your choice for about $14 or so which is crazy!

NEXT MORNING:

Checkout was at 11am and we were told to check out Sift – a popular well-known bakery spot in Mystic, CT. Sift won the Food Network’s Best Baker award in 2018. The bakery spot had baguettes, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, macarons, cookies, croissants, coffee and more! I left out of there with $50 worth of treats haha! If you’re in the area, definitely recommend checking it out.

Overall, the overnight stay was amazing and much needed! It is great for a relaxing intimate night in and the balcony view was awesome.

Have you been? What other INNs have you stayed at in the area?
