Valentine’s day is tomorrow! What are your plans? Valentine’s day is one of my favorite holidays since you can treat yourself and do something that’ll make you happy but to also spend it with your loved one. I celebrated Valentine’s day this past weekend with my man and it was such an incredible time. Read more about how we spent valentine’s day weekend together.
Since my boyfriend and I live about 2 hours away from each other we decided to spend time together this past weekend as this week, he’ll be going under surgery from tearing his ACL. I know so sad :/
On Saturday morning, we went to a nice brunch spot near me in Greenwich, CT where we had a glass of mimosa each and ordered a breakfast special. Afterwards, we both got couples massages followed by champagne. I decided to treat my boyfriend for a nice relaxing spa day where we both received massages at the Greenwich Delamar spa. He never got one before so it was a nice experience for him. It was literally so soothing and amazing for the both of us to enjoy.
After the massage, we took the train into grand central and checked into the Aloft Hotel located in the financial district. As we both opened the hotel door, there were a trail of rose petals on the floor which led to the bed which was shaped as a heart. It was so romantic and I literally was so surprised that he set this up! I definitely did not want to mess up the rose petal heart shaped on the bed, it made my whole night.
Later that night, we had a quick dinner at Azalea’s Itlaian Restaurant which was right next to the show. Since we missed our reservation and show was starting soon, we both ordered a pasta dish and had time to split some homemade cheesecake dessert. My boyfriend bought tickets for us to see Wicked broadway show which I was so excited to see because I haven’t been at a broadway show since I was a kid! It was raining crazy hard in NYC that weekend so it was a little struggle walking to find the theatre and dinner but other than that, it was a blast. If you haven’t seen Wicked, I definitely recommend watching it, the plot was just so amazing and the acting was great.
Literally had the most amazing Valentine’s day weekend with my man. The couples massage, dinner, and Wicked broadway show was the highlight of my weekend.
Ps. I gave him a cute valentines card and inside I placed some love tokens that he was able to use that weekend. Some of them were a big bear hug, kisses, couples massage, yummy lunch, and round trip tickets from local to NYC.
What are everyones plan for valentine’s day? Are there any special traditions you usually do?
