5 WAYS TO KEEP YOURSELF BUSY WHILE SELF-QUARANTINED

Hope everyone is keeping sane with what’s happening around in the world. How are you all keeping sane at home? I’m getting used to working from home now especially that I can plan when to take breaks or step outside for fresh air. While being quarantined at home, this gives us the opportunity to keep our mind flowing and our bodies moving. I’m sharing five ways on how to keep yourself busy and distracted while self-quarantined.

1. GROWING YOUR BLOG + BRAND

If you haven’t had the chance to go Instagram live then now is the time to do so!

On the weekends, I’m always on the go, so being stuck at home allows me to be creative and engage with my audience with story posts, beauty products I use, get to know me quizzes & etc.

Tips to engage with your followers + try something new:

  • Show your audience makeup tutorials
  • Tips & tricks on your favorite product, app you’re currently using, book you are reading, etc.
  • Teach a workout or have your followers learn your dance moves.
  • IGTV beauty, fitness, spring outfits, cozy loungewear to wear at home ,etc.
  • Create polls/quizzes/questions on stories to get ideas from your followers.

It’s all about having fun meanwhile educating your audience with a topic in mind.

2.  FREE ONLINE CLASSES TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF

There are so many sites that are offering free classes that everyone should be taking advantage of now! Whether you want to learn a new skill or brush up on a course, check out the below:

3. VIRTUAL WORKOUTS + MEDITATION APPS TO USE

Are you moving your body throughout the day? workouts is a huge part of my day so I always commit to yoga every morning & at least a 30 min workout each day to get my heart rate up following with a meditation before bed. I have to keep my body going while being stuck at home otherwise I’ll be turning into a couch potato!

If you’re unsure as to which workout apps to use, I got some recommendations you can check out:

Additional classes free of charge: the nike training club app, Pure Barre Go Live on Fb & Lifetime offers free workout videos, check it out here.

4. FIND YOUR PASSION

If you’ve been feeling stuck lately with your creativity, take this time to find what your passion is – whether that’s cooking, reading, meditating, painting, scrapbooking, etc, just do it!

Since we’re all in lockdown, we don’t need to stress on how to make our feed perfect with the filters & all that, but make the content real. If you’re a fashion blogger and you want to learn how to cook, post that on the gram! This is your time to shine guys, and feel free to post whatever your heart desires!

5. COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR LOVED ONES

Be there for your friends & family during this time. Check in on them to see how they are doing, our stress levels can up to the max when we don’t check in with ourselves so be sure to call a loved one to know you’re there for them.

Support a local restaurant during this time by ordering food or gift cards- anything helps during this tough time! Help out your local boutique store with their business as well. We’re all in this together & we will all get through this. Hope everyone is staying safe!

What is your favorite quarantine activity? What workout apps are you using? What books are you reading? What new skill have you learned? Would love to hear it! <3
